Christine Lagarde

Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund 

Education: Paris West University - Nanterre la Défense, Aix-en-Provence Institute of Political Studies.

Started her career as a lawyer at Baker McKenzie. Christine Lagarde was a partner and then headed the company (1981-2004).

Began her political activities as a Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade of France (2005–2007), then Mrs. Lagarde was appointed as a French Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries (2007–2008), French Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment (2008–2011).

Since 2011, she has been serving as the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

According to the Financial Times (2009), she was recognized as the best finance minister in the Eurozone. For a long time, Mrs. Lagarde was in the World’s 10 Most Powerful Women List according to Forbes (2011-2016).
